Ava Namen is a Brazilian transfeminine, transdisciplinary artist and Tarot reader whose work emerges from a desire to translate experiences that escape logical understanding. Using esoteric–aesthetic approaches that challenge representations of the Self, her practice affirms nature and the body as foundations of creation, moving between carnal and immaterial constellations.

Through assembling affective objects as pulsating bridges nourished by the collective unconscious, she evokes in-between presences that provoke the primacy of desire in contemporary society. Long manual processes guided by personal rituals and body adornments create intimate relations with materials and the sacred everyday. Waves of expression intertwine poetic texts, artisanal garments, video performances, and jewelry-based installations echoing oracular whispers.

With a perceptive interest in energies that underpin existence and counter anthropocentric illusions, Ava reinterprets archetypes and materials such as stones, candles, beeswax, pearls, herbs, and stainless steel, unveiling alchemical relationships, altars, and amulets that invite elemental forms of sensing.
